Blame Miuccia for bringing back lip gloss. The tangerine sheen Pat McGrath painted on models for Prada’s spring runway show made its way into ads for the brand and even onto mannequins in its store windows. Luckily, beauty companies are offering a slew of pigmented yet high-shine shades that flatter us regular folk. Here are some of the best popsicle-colored shades for summer.
1. Estée Lauder just released “Pure Color Gloss” by Tom Pecheux — six limited-edition, nonsticky shades that range from nude to purple. The latter, “Plum Desire,” has the most shine and pigment and the least sparkle.
2. “Easy Lover,” a semi-sheer fuchsia gloss from NARS, lives up to its name.
3. Both the flouro pink (“Laser”) and orange-red (“Pop”) being offered this summer from Chanel’s Gloss Fluo de Chanel.
4. HIP Studio Secrets Professional, a new line from L’Oréal developed a hybrid lipstick and lip gloss that contains jojoba oil and vitamin E. The bold orange “Precarious” is a standout!
