If you've had your mascara for less than three months, the formula should be fine. Notice how I said should and not will always or definitely be fine? Because sometimes, it goes all naughty rascal on you and starts getting thick and clumpy for no apparent reason. But before you get all hasty and chuck it out, we picked up a fabbo little tip from our Sugar Sisters in the US that is too good not to share. If your mascara formula gets all thick and starts to clump on a regular basis, simply take the tube and run it under hot water for 30 seconds. This will have it back to tip-top condition in no time and save you from having to fork out for a new mascara before the time has come. REMEMBER though, this only applies to mascaras that are under three months old. At three months, all the makeup artists we've ever met say chuck it. It's basically like a breeding ground for bacteria then. Noice. Oh, and remember to have the lid screwed nice and tight before you run it under water. Your mascara will never be the same if water gets in.
