Erik Arlen for case-mate iPhone 4 Cases

I rarley post something about gadgets! but here's athing catched my intrest! I was particularly drawn to the collection designed by modern industrial designer Erik Arlen (he’s a designer at Nike), he created an edgy new line of iPhone 4 cases that are pretty amazing. My favorite of all is the Facets, love the diamond-like design! The Erik Arlen for case-mate line includes four distinctive designs: Facets, random intersections of varying-size triangles visually inspire while three different coatings provide interest to the touch. Available in red, white or black.
The Egg, extruded dots of different heights simulate the distinctive look of an egg crate and create an interesting feel in hand. Available in red, white, blue and black.
The Quartet, four interlocking color blocks let consumers customize the look of their case.
Stacks, six color bands lock together to create a case in endless color combination.
available only at www.case-mate.com.

Marilyn Minter for Jimmy Choo

You may have seen the Marilyn Minter-esque ads in honor of Jimmy Choo’s 15th birthday, but Minter herself shot the image above.  Crystals the traditional 15th anniversary gift — smother the silver shoe splashing through the gold puddle; it’s as sparkly and dirty as one would expect from Minter.
But Tamara Mellon, the woman behind Choo’s success, found herself surprised by the artist whose work she’s collected for so long, “It’s amazing how down to earth Marilyn is and [yet she] produces such provocative, sexy, and inspiring images.”
If you look closely, the 15th anniversary shoes are traditional Choo shapes, just covered with enough embellishments to celebrate an extra birthday or two.  Mellon explained, “I was inspired by vintage jewelry to add sparkling and luminous details…but these are not the jeweled shoes of the past…they're modern and edgy.”
Minter herself is no stranger to the fashion world she’s collaborated with brands like Intermix and MAC as well as celebs like Madonna and Pamela Anderson, but this is her first luxury campaign.  Though most high fashion ads would love to be called “art,” this may be the first piece to really warrant the title.

Things you shouldn't miss in December

December is  packed with must haves in the world of entertainment, including star-studded Hollywood movies, music releases. Check them out!
The Tourist: Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie team up on Dec. 10 with The Tourist. Jolie stars as a mysterious woman trying to fend off shady characters; Depp is the bumbling man who crosses her path, and thus becomes part of her cat and mouse game. We're excited to see the actors' chemistry.

Micheal: The Michael Jackson posthumous album is packed with never-heard-before songs, but will fans love the new material as much as Jackson's old favorites? One thing's for sure: everyone's going to be talking about it come Dec. 14.

How Do You Know: In How Do You Know, Reese Witherspoon plays Lisa, a pro softball player who doesn't know what she wants in love. Owen Wilson plays her current boyfriend Manny, while Paul Rudd rounds out the love triangle.

Black Swan: If you're in the mood for dark, twisted intrigue, then Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan is just what the doctor ordered. Natalie Portman stars as a ballerina dealing with rivalry and possible insanity. It's already received accolades at various film festivals, but you can see it for yourself!

Morning Glory: We all love a good coming-of-age flick about a young woman who takes on a glamorous career in a metropolis and finds out that her dream job isn't always such a dream. That's exactly the kind of tale that The Devil Wears Prada writer Aline Brosh McKenna spins in Morning Glory, this month's best date-night film. Rachel McAdams (who needs the Anne Hathaway–style career bump) stars as a young daily talk-show producer who has to deal with the constant quibbling between the hosts, played by Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford (near left). The amazing cast, rounded out by the oh-so-handsome Patrick Wilson, keeps the material light, fun, and even a bit profound.

DVD Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times: Staying at home and out of the cold? Score a brilliant new release of an old film, Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times. The Criterion Collection reissue comes out on November 16 and would make a great holiday gift for fans of the Little Tramp and Chaplin's genius physical comedy. So stay inside for a few hours, we won't tell.

GUILTY PLEASURE, Burlesque: Cher. Christina Aguilera. Stanley Tucci. Director David Antin, the man who played Troy in The Goonies. The subject matter of this movie musical: seductive, sensual, intimate dance. Lots of pasties and sequins. Need we say more?
